What to look for in a Shine Spray?
You do not want your shine spray to be heavy and weigh your hair down. When selecting a shine spray you need to make sure that it does not have silicone in it. Check the label and ingredients to make sure their isn’t any in the product. You want a dryer spray that enhances your hair, not one that leaves you limp, flat and oily. To test the shine spray, spray it in your hands and feel to see if it is oily.

How to apply Shine Spray?
Spray your shine spray 6-8 inches away from your hair. I always spray it into my hands first and then work it into my hair on the trouble spots after I style it. Work from the middle of your hair to the ends. Do not spray or rub into the crown, scalp, or roots of your hair because it will make it oily.
You can spray it on damp or dry hair. If you have really frizzy hair spray it on damp hair before you start styling.

If you have moderate frizz then you can spray it on dry hair right before you start styling.
If you have mild frizz you can spray it on or rub it in after you have styled on those trouble areas and flyaways.

I have been hearing the buzz about dry shampoo for awhile. I have been using this magic mist for a few months now and I am hooked hard. I absolutely love it. It truly is magic in a bottle.

-Economical Tip- I have always used baby powder in my hair if it is oily or limp. As a blonde, baby powder also works well to hide roots in between highlights. A little sprinkle after the gym always helps freshen up my hair woes too!

Dry shampoo is perfect for every woman who hates spending 30 minutes a day blow-drying her hair. I am the world worst when it comes to the snooze button. I always push it to the limit and end up rushing to keep from being late. With dry shampoo I able to go an extra day without having to wash my hair (allowing me more time to snooze).

TO APPLY: Just spray it in your roots. Let the product sit for a minute and then brush through your hair. The spray absorbs all the oil and brushes right out. It leaves your hair looking cleaner and provides a little extra body. If your a blonde, spray a little in your hair line to mask roots in between highlights.

I use dry shampoo every day to build texture and body. It keeps my hair from getting oily throughout the day and gives my hair some life when it is starting to fall flat!

I also like using it after the gym. I hate whenever I work out and end up having to get two showers a day. With dry shampoo you just spray it in after your work out and your good to go!

As Seasons change my hair changes. In the winter my hair is dry and full of static. In the Summer my hair is oily and limp, and no matter what season it is, I always need more volume and strengthening . I have gone through every brand of shampoo and conditioner trying to find the best fit for all my demanding hair needs. My hair can’t seem to make up its mind, so to cope with its mood swings, I have found a few solutions that I now call my favorites.

Volume and Strengthening – All Year Round Use

I have found that mixing and matching the formulas is what works best for my hair needs. The Volumizing and Thickening Shampoo builds incredible body and fullness to my fine hair. It’s weight free and helps build shine. After using it I notice that my hair is stronger and doesn’t break off and my ends don’t split. It has a strawberry lemonade scent to it that is addictive. I can smell it in my hair all throughout the day!

The L’anza Healing Strength Conditioner is fantastic for giving me the extra oomph of protection. It has anti-aging complex that boost strength and elasticity while reducing hair breakage. I get highlights and I am addicted to my GHD flat iron, so this product helps repair and protect my hair from getting to weak and brittle. Most conditioners that help protect and heal your hair weigh your hair down, but with this shampoo and conditioner combination I still have that full body and bounce that I have been looking for. It has a white tea smell that is just heavenly. Both of these products are on my favorite must have list (along with most of the L’anza line)! They are perfect for everyday use and protection. Pltinum 17. I was a little skeptical about this product at first. At half the price of OPI, I wasn’t sure if this was going to hold up to the label, ‘Diamond Strength No Chip’. Well, the verdict is in and no it really doesn’t chip! I have a big problem with paining my own nails because I get too easily distracted and can’t sit still while they dry, but even through all my fiddling it held up! I really love this color for going out. It has a metallic pearl shine that picks up the color of what you are wearing and reflects it. It has a smooth finish and great color with two coats. This is a fabulous night out on the town polish. It really adds that extra goddess feel to any metallic, sparkly, or sequined outfit.

How to Appy Sunless Tanner and the Best Sunless Tanning Lotion to Use

It’s that time of year again when we all love to shed the pounds, toss the coats, and show some skin. Spring is here, and with Summer creeping in, it makes us all anxious to get that perfect looking tan. In today’s world, we are more than ever capable of combating skin cancer and premature aging by the use of sunless tanners. It is so important to take action and protect your skin before it is to late. Now I know nothing is like a gorgeous sun kissed tan, but here are some of my favorite products that really do give the burning ball of gas a run for it’s money. Beginner Level: Gradual Dove Energy Glow
Dove Energy Glow is something I use every day whenever I get out of the shower. It is great for building up a tan gradually with a streak fear free guarantee. I don’t think you can really go wrong with this product. It also works well to maintain and extend the life of your tan or spray tan. There is no bad smell that follows you around all day. It gives you that little extra hint of something that your friends will all notice. It works great if you have very fair skin. I use the Medium to Dark, but the Light to Medium works great for our pasty white and pigment challenged friends out their too!



Intermediate Level: Drug Store Sunless Tanning Lotion
L’oreal Sublime Bronze tinted self tanning lotion is a must for anyone that wants an easy tan with no mess in minutes. It has a hint of sparkle and probably the most natural color I have seen from a self tanner. It goes on smoothly and gives you a real glow. I really think that you have to try hard to make this product streak. I have never had any problems with streaking, blotchiness, spots, or looking orange. It doesn’t have much more than a normal lotion smell (not that wet burnt dog smell that most have) and is very light weight. I say, everything you want in a self tanning lotion! I use this about once a week to maintain my color and to even out my skin tone.

Advanced: Mac-daddy of Sunless Tanners
Fake Bake Self Tanning Lotion. The heavens opened up and the ‘ahhha’ sound effects chimed in when this bad boy was created. This stuff is no joke. It’s simply brilliant. I use this whenever I have a date, pageant, dance competition, or special occasion and really want to turn up the dial. You have to put this product on with gloves to prevent staining you hands and really apply with care to prevent streaking. It works beyond expectation and is not hard to apply. You just need to take your time and really rub it in well to make it look dynamite. It has no orange hue to it at all, it is completely bronze. Easily comparable to any airbrush tan out there. If you want to be a bronze looking goddess, by all means Fake Bake it… the healthy way!
